Where to Start Planning Your Wedding?

Most people start wedding planning by looking for information online. Information is abundant; from experts to previously married couples, never-ending checklist and a set, standard wedding planning timeline. All speaking to what you need to-do, never asking what aligns with you.

What really makes up a wedding?

At the heart, it’s a vow of commitment between people.  In simplicity it’s a type of ceremony that is then usually celebrated.  That’s it.  The ceremony has an appointed (by tradition or legally) officiant and witnessed vows.   And the celebration…

“There are no rules, it’s your wedding and you can celebrate however you want.”

You could go home, just the two of you, to dance in your living space – celebrating.  Or you could choose to gather with others and celebrate with food, dancing and or other activities.

I believe wedding planning should be exciting, fun and much easier than it presents.  Forgetting what you think you know about weddings .. sit quietly .. take a few breaths … What do you really want for your wedding?

How do you like to celebrate?  This is a great place to start wedding planning. Listen to the audio to dig into this overlooked, insightful question so you can plan a wedding that surpasses fads and innately represents you and yours.
